Hai, I’m PopNTod

I’m from Southern California, and currently live in Portland, Oregon. 

And when I saw the illusional movement forms of popping, waving, animation, and other styles, coming from California dance culture, I was floored by its depth of control and isolation. 

Since then, I’ve spent the last 26 years exploring how to become a funky-fluid, mechanically precise human dancing machine. 

These expressions carry this capacity for precision, illusion, and flow. 

Now I’m bringing these Cali-rooted dance cultures to the world. 

I’ve created an online MONTHLY MENTORSHIP, because I want to connect dancers throughout all the corners of the Universe with these art forms. 

As your mentor and guide, I will be one of your teachers, 

But I also want you to learn from the best of the best. 

What separates iLL SkiLLz from other programs is that 
I curate a learning experience for you where I invite the greats. 

I invite these people who are dance icons and innovators and educators to share with my community.

Sometimes, I think I’m a mother freakin’ wizard. And the next week, I may be feeling like, ‘who the hell do I even think I am?’

So if you want someone who’s oozing with confidence at all times, whether genuine or not, seriously, I’m not your guy. 

But if you want someone who is able to see you as YOU, who through his own struggles with insecurity and self-doubt, recognizes, accepts, and even loves it exactly where you are…

iLL SkiLLz Dance Monthly Mentorship

This is a monthly mentorship program for dancers of all skill levels, beginner to advanced. And it’s here to support your long-term growth. You can stay in the program, month-to-month, for as long as you feel like it’s helping you.

If there’s a Guest Instructor you’d like to learn from, you can also simply join for that month. Even though I emphasize that it’s through long-term commitment that you’ll see heroic gains, there’s no obligation to stay longer than a month.

There’s instruction in the basic foundations, to the more advanced concepts and techniques, and how they all blend together.

We also explore different styles that intersect with popping, like hip-hop, fusion bellydance, waves with different grooves, etc. 

And in between our sessions, you’ll have a chance to get Personalized Video Feedback from me… so I can point out your strengths and weaknesses, and give you clarity on what to practice next.

And it’s not just me teaching. I’m bringing in the best guest instructors from around the world, monthly, both OGs and young guns, so you can have a focused yet big-ass array of legendary dance wizards to learn from… people who have paved the way years ago, and people who are currently pushing the boundaries today. 

Many of the Guest Instructors will be renown. 
And many will be absolute hidden gems of talent who I believe the world needs to know.

I’ll be temporarily offering lower rates as we get things started.

In the past, my students have invested up to $650 for an 8-week accelerator program, and every one of them would tell you it was worth far more than what they paid.

But they also told me that 8 weeks just wasn’t long enough…  that after so much momentum was gained, they didn’t want the experience to end. Now it doesn’t have to.

What are the terms of membership?

Here’s the deal… 

Because I’m giving so much of my personal time to this – time that I cannot get back – monthly fees are non-refundable. Once you’re in for a month, you’re in for a month. 

However, there is no long-term commitment required. Your membership automatically renews the same day of the month you 1st signed up. 

For example, if you signed up on June 10, your membership will renew on the 10th of every month. 

But you can cancel at any time, no questions asked.
If there is any difficulty canceling, just email me and I’ll have you removed before the next billing cycle.

FAQ

What if I miss the window of time to submit a Feedback Video?

It’s up to you to take advantage of this. If you miss a week, don’t worry. It’s ok. But I must honor my own time. You won’t be able to make it up. It does not roll over.
 
If you know in advance that you won’t be available to film yourself during the video submission window, I highly encourage you to film in advance and share it. 
 
If something completely unexpected occurs though, please do reach out. Maybe we can work out something. 

What if I miss a Cyber Session. Is it saved?

ALL Cyber Sessions are saved and uploaded to the MONTHLY MENTORSHIP website.
While only SkiLLzologist Tier has access to previous Accelerator Programs, all Tiers have access to the Cyber Session archives. 
You can always go back and revisit one if you’d like.
The topic of each Cyber Sesh will be in the title, so you could watch a Cyber Sesh from the past that resonates with what you desire to train in at the moment. 

What part of the month am I charged? 

The day of the month that you sign up is the day of the month you will be charged again in the following month. 
For example, if you originally sign up on the 15th of January, you’ll be charged again on the 15th of February and every month thereafter.

If at some point, I cancel my subscription to the MONTHLY MENTORSHIP, do I keep the Tutorials and Cyber Sessions?

You do not. Once you cancel the subscription, you no longer have access to the website.
Occasionally I will be selling past Accelerator Programs at discounted prices to people in the iLL SkiLLz Dance email list. You can also email me at PopNTod@iLLSkiLLz.Dance to be a part of the email list.
By the way, if you join any iLL SkiLLz program, you will be automatically added to this list. You are also free to unsubscribe and re-join at any time. 

If at some point, I cancel my subscription to the MONTHLY MENTORSHIP, do I lose my access to the FB Group or to my SkiLLz Squad? 

No, all you need to do is pay for 1 month, and you’ll always be able to contribute and connect with members in the FB Group and to your personal SkiLLz Squad.

Are the Cyber Sessions guaranteed to be the same exact time and day?

If there’s someone from outta the country, or if there’s anyone who’s unavailable to teach during 11am-1pm PST Saturdays, and I feel they’d deeply help the MONTHLY MENTORSHIP members, I may need to change the times.
How often this will happen, I cannot say. But I promise to make the Cyber Sessions schedule as consistent and dependable as I can possibly make it.
